Leather Goods Workshop
Morgan + Wells is a small leather goods workshop based in York. Everything is hand cut and hand stitched by leatherworker, Naomi Wells Smith.
With a passion for quality and durability, Naomi uses the traditional tools of the trade, she saddle stitches every item in her wooden stitching clams and completes each piece with beeswax and elbow grease.
She works with vegetable tanned leather (so it’s free from the astringent chemicals used by mainstream companies) and sources her brass from the last remaining UK brass foundries.
Naomi’s work has also graced the stage of the London Palladium as she recently created the leather accessories for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, staring Jason Donovan, Sheridan Smith and Jac Yarrow.
